Yasmany Tomás collected a hit in two trips to the plate, drove in a run and scored twice to do his part in Los Mochis’ 5-3 win over Culiacán in the first game of their semifinal playoff series in the Liga ARCO. The Cuban slugger is hitting .321 and has knocked in nine runs during the postseason.
Tomás has been a key hitter for the Mexican squad with over 30 homeruns and 180 runs batted in over the last three years making him a very dangerous hitter in the Caribbean circuits over the that span. The Cuban also garnered a Liga ARCO MVP award in 2022-23 with the Cañeros.
Víctor Labrada in his own right help the Cañeros cause with a hit, an RBI and a run scored in three at-bats and Los Mochis now leads the best-of-seven series 1-0. The outfielder is also hitting a solid .267 in the playoffs. Roel Santos also joined in on the parade with an RBI and a runs scored on the evening for los Cañeros.
