In Venezuela Rangel Ravelo launched a three-run homer in the third inning to account for the majority of Lara’s runs in their 4-3 win over Magallanes. The power-hitting Cuban is now hitting solid .326 and has knocked in a record 66 runs by a foreigner in the LVBP postseason.
In the Liga ARCO Odrisamer Despaigne was masterful in his first outing with Hermosillo in their 5-2 victory over Jalisco. The Cuban hurler tossed six innings of six-hit, one-run ball and fanned two to help Hermosillo tie their playoff series at one with the Charros. The native of Havana now sports a nifty 1.59 ERA on the postseason.
In the LBPN Alay Lago went yard, drove in a run and scored on an occasion, but his best efforts could not prevent El Tren del Norte from falling to León 13-3. The Leones now trail the LBPN championship series 3-2 and Lago is now hitting a gaudy .364 in the playoffs.
