Liván Moinelo shines in a SoftBank loss. (+Asian League Report)

Liván Moinelo left without a decision after allowing only one run and three hits in seven complete innings in the SoftBank Hawks’ 2-1, 10-inning loss to the Rakuten Eagles. The Pinar del Río, Cuba native struck out 12 batters and issued just one walk in the game, on the season he sports a record of 2-0 and his ERA rose to 0.95.

In 17 innings, he’s struck out 22 and walked just two. During that stretch, he’s allowed just two runs. Moinelo has a two-game winning streak, so he might just surpass his win total of 11 which he posted during 2024 season.

Raidel Martínez earned his fifth save of the season after allowing no hits and no runs in one inning of relief in the Yomiuri Giants’ 1-0 win over the DeNA Stars at the Tokyo Dome. His ERA remains at 0.00 and the right-hander continues to lead the Central League in saves.
