Yasiel Puig returns to the lineup in a Kiwoom loss. (+Asian League Report)

Yasiel Puig made his return to the lineup as the DH by knocking in a run in four trips to the plate and Rubén Cárdenas also drove in a run in the same amount of trips to the dish, while also scoring on an occasion in Kiwoom’s 5-4 loss to KT in the KBO.

Puig, who last saw action on May 23 with the club was out due to a rotator cuff injury. After a fast start the Cuban outfielder had kind of tailed off in his production the last few weeks before getting hurt.

In the Nippon Professional Baseball League Raidel Martínez earned his tenth save of the season after pitching a scoreless  inning of relief in which he fanned a batter during the Yomiuri Giants’ 3-1 win over the DeNA Stars. His ERA remains at 0.00 and the hurler is now second in the Central League in saves.
