Yandy Díaz’s three RBIs lead Tampa to a win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Yandy Díaz went yard for the seventh time on the season, an eighth inning three-run shot to secure a Tampa Bay 8-4 win over the Astros. The infielder is hitting .310 over his last seven games and has knocked in 27 runs on the campaign.

Díaz  has started to pick it up after a slow start. The native of Villa Clara, Cuba is the main bat in the lineup and the top veteran presence in the clubhouse after the departure of Randy Arozarena at last season’s trade deadline.

Zach Neto and Jorge Soler combined for five hits, a homer and four runs batted in during the Angels thrashing of the Athletics by  10-5 count. Neto has now knocked in eight runs in his last seven games and Soler broke a slump that saw him hitting .214 over that span.
