In his second game back from injury Guillermo Heredia collected a hit in three trips to the plate, a third inning run-scoring double during the SSG Landers 4-1 win over the Samsung Lions. The two-time All-Star in the KBO now hits .286 on the season.
Heredia who returned from a right thigh injury after being on the injured list for six weeks figures to be reclaim his spot in the lineup where he was a key hitter for the Landers this offseason. Ryan McBroom was signed to replace him during his injury.
This offseason Heredia signed a 1-year, 1.8 million dollar extension with SSG. Last season he led the KBO in batting average (.360), finished second in hits (195) and third in runs batted in (118). Heredia has also won the KBO Fielding Award in leftfield in each of the past two seasons.
