Aroldis Chapman pitched a scoreless ninth inning in which he fanned two of three batters he faced to secure a Red Sox’s 3-2 triumph over the Rays. The left-hander now sports a nifty 1.59 ERA on the season and is three saves short of 350 for his career.

In a losing cause for Tampa Bay first baseman Yandy Díaz swatted his 10th longball of the season, a fifth inning two-run shot and also now has 39 RBIs on the campaign. Díaz also saw his average rise to .256 on the campaign.

Yariel Rodríguez notched his first as a major leaguer after tossing a scoreless ninth during the Bluejays’ 5-2 win over the Cardinals. The hurler has a 1.33 earned run average over his last seven games.

Jorge Soler knocked in two runs via a sixth inning two-run single to do his part in the Angels’ 5-3 win over the Athletics. The Cuban slugger saw his average rise to .214 on the season and is one homer shy of reaching 200 for his career.
