Nolan Arenado went yard for the 350th time in his career, a third inning two-run shot to lead St. Louis to an 8-6 win over the White Sox in extra-innings. The Cuban-American third baseman saw his average rise to .247 on the season. Arenado becomes only the seventh player in MLB history with 350 homers and 10 gold gloves.
Carlos Rodón tossed six innings in which he gave up three runs via four hits to notch his ninth victory on the season. The Yankees defeated the Angels 7-3 and Rodón saw his ERA descend to 3.10 on the campaign and has struck out 114 batters in 95⅔ innings pitched.
Adrián Morejón won his fourth game of the year and is developing into one of best lefty relievers in MLB after throwing 1⅓ innings of relief during the Padres’ 5-3 win over the heated rivals the Los Angeles Dodgers. The southpaw also saw his earned run average fall to 2.35 on the season.
