Yandy Díaz swatted a run-scoring double in the sixth inning of he Rays 3-2 loss to the Twins. The infielder is now hitting .407 over his last 15 games and sports a sparkling .485 OBP over that span. Díaz is making a very good case for an All-Star Game berth as well.
Nick Castellanos hit his 11th homer of the years, a three-run shot and his only hit in five trips to the plate during Phillies 9-6 loss to the Reds. The Cuban-American slugger hits .278 on the campaign.
Edgar Quero hit the first homerun as a major leaguer, his only hit in three trips to the plate during the sixth inning of a White Sox 3-2 win over the Rockies. The catcher has now driven in 19 runs and hits .273 on the season.
