Roenis Elías earned his fourth win of the 2025 Taiwan Professional Baseball League (CPBL) season during his team, the Fubon Guardians,’ 2-0 blanking CTBC Brothers. The game took place at Xinzhuang Baseball Stadium in a crowd of 8,068 fans. The Guantanamo,Cuba native pitched seven innings, allowing only three hits and no runs.

His control was exquisite on a night in which he doled eight strikeouts and no walks. He faced 25 batters on the evening and only allowed four baserunners (the three hits and one for a hit batsmen). Elías threw exactly 100 pitches to the plate, 64 of which were strikes. He was also named the game’s MVP for the second time this season.

Despite his unfavorable win-loss record, the Cuban has looked much better in his recent outings, demonstrating he is still a  quality pitcher. This season the southpaw has made 15 starts and posted a 4-7 win/ loss record. In 88.2 innings he has allowed 84 hits and 46 runs (36 of them earned), for a 3.65 ERA. He has also permitted 71 hits and 21 walks, while also sporting a 1.18 WHIP and a .249 batting average against.
