Also in México Orlando Martínez swatted a two hits in three trips to the plate, drove in a run and scored twice during the Tomateros de Culiacán’s 4-2 win over the Águilas de Mexicali in the first game of a doubleheader. The talented outfielder now hits a solid .294 and has driven in 18 runs on the season.
Raico Santos went yard for the second time on the season, a first inning solo-shot and also drove in a via a single in the eighth inning during the Tren del Norte’s 6-5 loss to Bóer. The native of Granma, Cuba now hits a solid .439 on the season.
