Yadir Drake leads Culiacán to a win in the Serie del Caribe.

Yadir Drake collected two hits in four trips to the plate, drove in a run and scored twice to lead the Tomateros de Culiacán to a 10-7 win over the Leones del Escogido in the last game of the classification phase of the Serie del Caribe.

The Cuban slugger finishes the the first round of the tournament hitting .333 and the runner-up in the Mexican circuit finished the round 2-2 to classify to the semifinals of the tournament where it will once again face the Leones del Escogido.

Yohandy Morales, the only other player of Cuban heritage to see action last night swatted three hits in four at-bats and scored twice to do his part in the Cangrejeros de Santurce 8-3 win over Federales de Chiriqui. The young Cuban-American slugger has produced two multi-hit games and also hits .412 in the first round of the Serie del Caribe.

Santurce will face off with the Charros de Jalisco in the semifinals of the tournament in a do-or-die game with the winner having the chance to face the winner of Culiacán-Escogido for the tournament title on Monday at 9 pm in the Estadio Panamericano de los Charros.
