Yohandy Morales selected to the Serie del Caribe All-Tournament Team.

Cuban-American slugger Yohandy Morales, son of Andy Morales, had an outstanding Caribbean Series and was selected as the tournament’s All-Star first baseman. In five games, he batted .500 (22 AB; 11 H) with a double, two triples, two home runs, six runs scored, and three RBIs.

Morales (24 years old) was invited by the Washington Nationals to Spring Training and could make his MLB debut this year. Last season, he swatted 50 extra-base hits (31 doubles, 4 triples, and 15 home runs) and drove in 71 runs between Double-A and Triple-A.

The son of Cuban star Andy Morales has slashed .285/.362/.488/.800 with 22 homeruns and 144 runs batted in over three minor league seasons with the team from the nation’s capital. Expect Morales to get a long look from the Nationals this Spring Training.
