Yandy Díaz homers, but Tampa Bay falls to Milwaukee. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Yandy Díaz homered for the second time on the season, a second inning two-run shot in Tampa Bay’s 8-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cuban slugger is now hitting a robust .429 to open up the young season.

Raisel Iglesias tossed a scoreless inning in which he fanned a batter to close out the Atlanta Braves 5-1 victory over the Athletics. The Cuban right-hander has now opens the year with teo scoreless outings.

Yordan Álvarez collected two hits in three trips to the plate and scored twice to lead the Houston Astros to 6-4 win over the Boston Red Sox. The native of Las Tunas, Cuba has opened up the season with a sparkling .417 average.
