Oscar Luis Colás swatted his fourth longball of the season, a sixth inning solo-shot during a Saraperos de Saltillo 10-4 thrashing of the Charros de Jalisco. The young Cuban slugger has made the most of his opportunities in his short time with the Aztec squad by hitting a torrid .333 in only 60 at-bats.
Henry Urrutia also homered for the fourth time on the campaign in the second inning of Querétaro’s 4-3 loss to Quintana Roo. The native of Las Tunas, Cuba also scored a run on the day and now hits a robust .385 on the season to lead the Mexican squad in that statistical category.
Yadir Drake went yard for the fourth time on the year as well on the day to do his part in the Leones de Yucatán’s 6-2 win over the Piratas de Campeche. The power-hitting infielder has now also knocked in 10 runs on the season for the felines.
