Miguel Vargas stays hot, but the White Sox fall to the Cubs. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Although Miguel Vargas homered amongst his two hits in four at-bats, the Chicago White Sox still fell to the Chicago Cubs 10-5. The native of Havana has now driven in 24 runs on the season. Vargas has been scorching hot in the month of May slashing a robust .319/.400/.617/1.017, while he has also homered four times and knocked nine months of that span.

Andy Pagés went yard for the 10th time on the season, a three-run homerun during the Dodgers 6-0 blanking of the cross-town rival Angels. The outfielder saw his average fall to .305 on the season and is second in the Major Leagues with 38 runs batted in. Pages also sports a robust .537 slugging percentage.

Raisel Iglesias tossed a scoreless inning in which he allowed a hit and fanned two batters during the Atlanta Braves’ 3-2 extra-inning victory over the Boston Red Sox. The right-hander from the Isle of Youth extended his scoreless inning streak to 26⅓ dating back to last season.

Yandy Díaz swatted his sixth homerun of the season, a first inning two-run blast in three trips to the plate to do his part in the Rays’ 7-2 win over the Miami Marlins. The slugger from Villa Clara, Cuba has now driven in 26 runs to place fifth amongst Cuban in that statistical category and also watched his average rise to .297 on the season.
