The native of Sagua la Grande, Cuba saw his average rise to .317 on the campaign leaving second in the American League in that statistical category.
Carlos Rodón notched his third victory of the season after tossing five innings of seven-hit, three-hit ball during which he fanned seven batters to help secure a Yankees’ 10-5 win over the White Sox’s. The Cuban- American lefty saw his earned run average descend to 3.50 and has now struck out 41 batters in 36 innings on the season.
