Aroldis Chapman tossed a scoreless ninth inning to notch his 25 save of the season after tossing a scoreless ninth inning during which he fanned three of the five batters he faced to help secure the Boston Red Sox’s 4-2 victory over the Athletics. The flamethrowing left-hander now has 392 saves and 1376 strikeouts in his illustrious career.

Randy Arozarena went yard for the second straight game, the 13th time on the campaign, drove in a run and also scored on the evening during the Seattle Mariners’ 7-3 loss to the Texas Rangers. The outfielder is now hitting .321 over his last seven games and now sports .833 OPS on the campaign.

Yordan Álvarez collected a hit in three trips to the plate, a key run-scoring single in the eighth of the Houston Astros’ 6-4 comeback win over the Angels. The Cuban slugger upped his average to a league leading .323 and the Álvarez also leads the junior circuit in runs batted in with 78.
