Edgar Quero and César Prieto have signed with the Estrellas Orientales for the upcoming winter league season. The talented Cuban players will join the Green Machine for the upcoming LIDOM season, significantly strengthening the team’s offensive core.
Quero will bring his skills behind the plate, power, and production from both sides of the plate, while Prieto will add contact, defensive versatility, and experience in the infield. Prieto appeared in 14 games with the St. Louis Cardinals this season, batting .063 for the Gateway City club, while Quero played for the Chicago White Sox, hitting .203 with three home runs and 19 RBIs in 69 games.
Two quality additions for an Estrellas Orientales club that continues to reinforce its roster with the goal of competing for the championship. The Estrellas last won a Dominican League title in 2018-19 and have been finalists in 2022,2023 and 2024.
