Lourdes Gurriel Jr swats his 500th hit in Arizona’s triumph over Milwaukee (+Cuban MLB Report)

Within the three hits Lourdes Gurriel collected on the afternoon yesterday, one of them turned out to be a three run bomb. Nolan Arenado went yard for the second time on the season time in St. Louis’ 7-4 victory over the Colorado Rockies. The Cuban-American drove in his 13th run of the season leaving him tied for fifth in the majors in that statistical category. The Californian saw his average fall to .327 on the season.

Randy Arozarena deposited his third ball of the season in the stands, a three run shot in the first inning that aided Tampa in remaining undefeated on the season by downing Boston 9-7. The diminutive but multi-talented outfielder in total drove in four runs on the evening to up his total to 15 on the season. Arozarena saw his average drop to .319 on the year but has driven in a whopping 14 runs in the month of April.
