Malcom Núñez goes yard in Indy’s loss (+Cuban MiLB Report)

Malcom Núñez went yard for the second time in the season, a 400 foot shot to dead center field. In total the slugger drove in three, but his best efforts couldn’t prevent an Indianapolis (AAA) 12-7 loss to Memphis. “El Animal ” as he is nicknamed watched his average jump to .222 and now has nine runs batted in on the season.

In AA Diosbel Arias smacked two longballs in his four at-bats, knocked in four runs and scored two times in four trips to the plate. The first baseman was a key cog in the offense for Frisco in their 9-5 victory over Arkansas. The native of Artemisa, Cuba saw his average jump to .241 and now has driven in five runs on the young campaign.

In A ball Kendry Rojas continues to be unhittable with Dunedin. Although he didn’t factor in the decision the lefty threw five innings of one hit ball where he also struck out three. The Bluejays downed the Palm Beach Cardinals 1-0 and Rojas saw his ERA fall to 0.96 after two starts.
