Yennier Canó tossed 1⅓ innings of shutout ball to notch his second save in Baltimore’s 5-3 victory over Detroit. The Cuban flamethrower has now retired all 33 batters he has faced to start the season. The only hitter to get aboard on Canó was via a beanball, which occurred on April 26 and that baserunner was later erased on a double play.

Another native of Ciego de Avila, Adolis García also had himself a dandy evening.
