Alejandro Rivero goes yard in York’s victory. (+Independent League Report)

Alejandro Rivero went yard for the first time on the season and drove in four runs to lead the York Revolution to a 10-4 drubbing of the Lancaster Barnstormers. The infielder is now hitting a robust .444 on the campaign also collected three hits on the evening and sports a marvelous 1.212 OPS.

JC Escarra swatted two hits in five trips to the plate and scored a run to do his part in Gastonia’s 11-6 victory over Southern Maryland. The Miami native has been massacring the Atlantic League pitching to the tune of a .381 batting average.
