Odrisamer Despaigne had his best day on the mound in his brief time in the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol. The right-hander from Havana hurled seven innings where he gave up two hits without any earned runs and struck out four, but unfortunately the Cuban did not factor in the decision.
Guadalajara eventually won in extra innings 2-1 over Tijuana. In 23.1 innings pitched in the LMB this season Despaigne sports a 2-1 record, 6.08 ERA and has fanned 17.
Lázaro Blanco was rolling along pitching four scoreless innings, but in the fifth inning the wheels fell off. The native of Granma, Cuba gave up four runs and did not factor in León ‘s 7-4 loss to Tijuana. In spite of that disastrous inning Blanco’s ERA still fell to 5.84 on the season.
