Aroldis Chapman notches his second save in KC’s win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Aroldis Chapman saved his second game of the season and 317th game of his career in Kansas City’s 4-1 victory over Detroit. The flamethrowing lefty has now fanned 31 batters in 18 innings and saw his ERA fall to 2.89 on the season.

Yasmani Grandal hit his fourth longball of the campaign and knocked in two runs and also scored on an occasion to lead Chicago to a 4-2 win over Cleveland. The Cuban catcher is hitting a robust .391 in his last seven games. Romy González also got in the act with a two-run double in the seventh to secure the pail holes victory.

Jorge Soler went yard for the 13th time on the year and knocked two runs but his efforts could not prevent a Marlins 5-4 loss to the Rockies. The outfielder who is now hitting .246 on the campaign and has hit six jacks in his last 15 games.

Yennier Canó notched his 10th hold of the season after pitching two scorless innings where he only allowed to hits but Baltimore fell by the count of 6-5 to Yankees. The right-hander from Ciego de Avila, Cuba has now allowed one run in 25 ⅔ innings this season and now sports a 0.35 earned run average.
