Yanio Luis Pérez is continuing to find his way with the bat after a slow start. The ex-Texas Rangers prospect stroked two doubles in three at-bats and drove in two runs in Lincoln’s 11-7 win over the Kansas City Monarchs in the American Association. The slugger also scored twice and watched his average jump to .275 on the campaign. The first baseman is now nursing in eight game hitting streak.

In the Atlantic League Jorge Martínez pitched five innings where he gave up five hits and four runs, all while striking out six to watch ERA fall to 6.28 on the season. Although he didn’t factor in the decision, the Revolution still downed the Charleston Dirty Birds 7-5. Alejandro Rivero collected a hit in five trips to the plate and also scored a run to aid the cause.

JC Escarra scored three times and swatted two hits to lead Gastonia to a 9-1 win in the first game of the double header against Lancaster. The Cuban-American is now hitting .356 on the season, while Gastonia dropped the second game of the twin billing 4-3.
