Roel Santos continues to swing hot lumber heading into the Central American Games. The outfielder from Niquero, Cuba banged out three hits and and knocked in three runs to lead Tabasco to a 9-8 win over Campeche. The speedster is now hitting .293 on the season.

Peter O’Brien in his own right is expanding on the best season of his career. The Cuban-American slugger drove in a run via two hits and also scored on an occasion in Puebla’s 10-7 loss to León. The outfielder who is hitting a robust .388 on the campaign.

Cuban players in the LMB such as Yoennis Yera, Carlos Juan Viera, Roel Santos (as stated before) and Raico Santos will take a break from league play and join Cuba in the JCC.
