Dairon Blanco knocks in a run in KC’s loss (+Cuban MLB Report)

The recently called up Dairon Blanco has continued to hit in spite of the rise in the talent of pitching he is facing. The outfielder stroked a run scoring double and a triple in his five trips to the plate in KC’s loss to Cincinnati 7-4. The native of Camagüey, Cuba is now hitting .333 in his brief time with the club.

Jorge Soler hit his league leading 20th roundtripper of the season, knocked in a run and also scored on an occasion to do this part in Miami’s 4-1 victory over Seattle. This marks the third time in his career that the Cuban slugger has hit 20 jacks in campaign.

In the absence of Yordan Álvarez, José Abreu has caught fire and filled the void left by the slugger’s injury. On the evening the power-hitting first baseman went yard for the 4th time on the season and drove in the runs to lead Houston to a 5-4 versus the Nationals. The man from Mal Tiempo, Cuba is now hitting .400 with 10 runs batted in during his last seven games.
