Yoennis Yera continues to be the ace of Tabasco’s staff. Last night the lefty from Matanzas, Cuba hurled five innings of five hit, one run ball to lead the Olmecas to a 9-2 win over Campeche. Yera who struck out four saw his ERA fall to 1.79 on the campaign.

Yera will be heading off real soon to San Salvador to join the Cuban National Team in the Central American and Caribbean games, where the island is heavily favor to win.

His countrymen and teammate Maikel Serrano also helped the cause for Tabasco with two hits in four trips to the plate and two runs batted in on the evening. Serrano saw his average rise to .271 on the season.
