Albert Lara’s 3 RBIs are key in Unión Laguna’s win. (+Mexican League Report)

Albert Lara swatted two hits in four trips to the plate, one of them being a two-run fourth inning blast to lead Unión Laguna two victory in a 16-13 shootout with Tijuana. The young infielder also drove in another run via an eighth inning single and scored three times to watch his average surge to a robust .350 on the season.

For Tijuana and in a loss Cuban-American JC Escarra went two-for-five and scored on an occasion. In two games so far with the Toros the outfielder is hitting a solid .300 on the season.

Yuniesky Larduet collected three hits in four at-bats, scored three times and also knocked in two runs to lead Campeche to a 10-7 win over Veracruz. Yosmany Guerra also aided the cause by going yard for the second straight evening and also drove in three runs for the Piratas. The two speedsters now hit (.309) and (.333) respectively on the campaign.
