The hard-throwing lefty from Holguín, Cuba now sports a 2.73 earned run average and has struck out 48 batters in 26 ⅓ innings of work. Dairon Blanco helped the cause by lacing a double and scoring a run in four trips to the plate. Kansas City downed Tampa Bay 6-5.
In a losing cause Yandy Díaz and Randy Arozarena collected three hits a piece, while combining for three runs batted and two runs. Arozarena now hits .298 on the campaign, while Díaz is now hitting a robust .309 on the campaign.
After tossing a scoreless in relief ninth Raisel Iglesias in which he struck out a batter the hurler from the Isle of Youth notched his third win of the season. The right-hander watched his ERA fall to 4.12 on the season and Atlanta defeated Philly 5-1.
