Luis Robert and Yasmani Grandal combined for two roundtrippers, knocked in two runs and scored a run in the Whitesox’s 5-4 win over the Bosox’s. For Robert it was his 19th jack of the year, while Grandal went yard for the 6th time on the season.
Yuli Gurriel laced a two-out tenth inning run-scoring double that tied the score three and set the stage for Miami to walk it off in 11 innings versus the Pirates 4-3. With the hit the native of Sancti Spíritus, Cuba snapped a 7 game RBI-less streak.
Nick Castellanos had a perfect evening collecting three hits in as many visits to the dish and drove in a run via the longball in the Phillies’ 4-2 loss to the Mets. The Cuban-American slugger is hitting .333 in his last seven games.
