Although he didn’t factor in the decision Yunesky Maya was once again masterful on the mound for the Diablos Rojos de México City. The right-hander from Pinar del Río, Cuba tossed five and two thirds innings of five-hit one-run ball in the the capital city’s team 7-3 win over Aguascalientes.

Maya who at his 41 years of age was hitting 91 MPH on the night now sports and ERA of 3.00. The hurler also struck out six batters on the evening.

Yadiel Hernández went yard for the sixth time on the season, knocked in a run and also scored on an occasion to do his part in Monterrey’s 4-2 victory over Tijuana. The outfielder from Matanzas, Cuba is now hitting a solid .305 on the campaign.
