Ariel Miranda continues to have an immaculate season on the mound in México. In last night’s action the lefty from Mayabeque, Cuba tossed five innings of eight-hit, three-run ball in Saltillo’s 6-4 win over Monclova, while also fanning seven to watch his ERA fall to 4.35 on the campaign.
Miranda improved to 4-0 on the season. Henry Urrutia also helped the cause by swatting two hits and scoring twice to watch his average rise to .303.
Félix Pérez stroked four hits and went yard for the 17th time on the season, while also knocking in three runs in Tijuana’s 7-6 to Monterrey in extra innings. The reigning league MVP now has 50 RBIs and watched his average jump to .273 on the season.
