Onelki García and Lázaro Alonso combine to lead Yucatán to a victory. (+Mexican League Report)

Onelki García tossed five innings of five-hit, no-run ball and retired five via the strikeout to notch his third victory of the season in Yucatán’s 11-2 thrashing of the Piratas de Campeche. The lefty from Guantánamo,Cuba has not allowed a run in 25 innings and watched his ERA drop to 1.77 on the campaign.

Lázaro Alonso aided his countrymen by swatting his second grand slam of the season in the first inning to get things started. Fellow Cuban Yadir Drake also jumped in on the action by collecting a hit and scoring twice. The two sluggers hit .206 and .352 respectively on the season.

Carlos Juan Viera won his fifth game of the season for Tabasco after hurling five impeccable innings where he gave up only one earned run via five hits. The Olmecas dropped Dos Laredos 5-1 and his earned run average fell to 3.81 on the year. Maikel Serrano knocked in a run in three trips to the plate help the cause of his teammate and compatriot.
