Cionel Pérez extends his scoreless inning streak.(+Cuban MLB Report)

Cionel Pérez tossed another scoreless inning in Baltimore’s 5-4 win over the Angels. The lefty from Matanzas, Cuba has now made 15 straight appearances without giving up a run and watched his ERA fall to 3.47 on the campaign. Pérez has not given up a run in his last 14 innings.

Yordan Álvarez collected three hits, including a two-run blast in the seventh inning to lead Houston to a 14-1 thrashing of Rangers. For the slugger it was his 24th roundtripper of the season to go along with 79 RBIs. José Abreu also knocked in three runs to aid the cause for the team for the Space City.

Yoan Moncada also went yard for the eighth time on the season and drove in two runs , but Chicago fell to KC 7-6. The infielder is on a tear in his last 15 games hitting a robust .388 and driving in 10 runs over that span. Since the All-Star break he is also batting a solid .283.
