Cuba announces their player pool for the Sub-23 Pan American tournament.

The Cuban Federation has announced their player pool for the upcoming Sub-23 Pan American Baseball Championship scheduled to place sometime in November, the actual date for the tournament have yet to be announced.

The pool will include some interesting young prospects such as WBC and Matanzas catcher Andrys Pérez, who is considered the top catching prospects on the island. Infielder -outfielder Guillermo García who hit .235 in the minor league with the Chunichi Dragons will lead the position for the Cubans.

Christian Leandro Rodríguez ( a Chunichi signee) and Jean Lucas Baldoquín, who worked out for Asian teams in Havana will also be part of the infield pool. Rodríguez is a silky smooth fielder who .368 in the 2022 Sub-23 World Cup. Yasel Pérez, who played independently in Japan will also be part of the pool and could add some pop to the team.

Carlos Monier was part of the Cuba U-23 team that finished tenth in the World Cup in 2022. The Santiago native averaged .235, with a double, triple and an RBI during the competition and is also signee by the Chunichi Dragons. The outfielder is prospect with plenty of power and upside.

The pool of pitchers will be led by Central American and Caribbean Games hurler Miguel Neira and Industriales pitcher Orlando Perdomo, who a key piece for the Havana squad in their playoff run this year in Serie Nacional.
