Yandy Díaz stroked a two-run double in the sixth inning, but his efforts were not good enough to keep the Rays from falling 8-3 to the Angels. The first baseman saw his average fall to .322 on the season leaving him second in the American League in that statistical category.

Nick Castellanos went yard twice in five trips to the plate, drove in three runs and scored twice to lead Philadelphia to a 6-5 win over the Braves. The Cuban-American slugger is one RBI from eclipsing the century mark for the third time in his career. Castellanos is hitting a solid .320 in his last seven games.

Andy Ibáñez connected on a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to give the Tigers an insurmountable lead , to which the felines ended up downing the Dodgers 4-1 in last night’s contest. The native of the Isle of Youth has now knocked in a career high 33 runs.
