Five Cubans to play in the Arizona Fall League.

The Arizona Fall League which is a a circuit where teams send their up-and-coming prospects will include five Cubans in its next edition which commences this coming Monday. The season will end in November and give these prospects a chance to showcase their talents against other top players.

On the mound the Glendale Desert Dogs will feature White Sox’s high-profile international signing, Josimar Cousin. The 25-year-old flamethrower signed a 2-year, 2 million dollar contract earlier this year posted a 2-2 record, 5.56 earned run average and struck out 47 batters in 55 innings pitched between Rookie- AA ball.

The Desert Dogs will also feature the pale holes #7 prospect Bryan Ramos. “El Bero” as he is known by the Cuban faithful hit .264 with 15 longballs and 50 RBIs in the minors this season. Ramos has an ETA of 2024 with the ballclub. The power-hitting Cuban is coveted bat within the organization.

The Mesa Solar Sox will have A’s outfielder Lázaro Armenteros and hurler Yunior Tur on their roster. Armenteros who was once compared to Yoenis Céspedes collected 46 extra base hits , 20HR,20(2B), 6 (3B) also drove in 82 runs between Lansing (A+) and Midland. Tur who was once a coveted reliever in Cuba debuted this season on the farm striking out 53 batter in 37⅓ innings.

As for Washington’s Orlando Ribalta the right-hander from Santa Clara, Cuba will pitch for the Scottsdale Scorpions. The reliever had a 3-1 record, 4.13 ERA and two saves in minors for the team from the nation’s capital. Ribalta figures to work on fine-tuning his mechanics this fall.
