Adolis García hit his 38th longball of the season and also doubled in a run to lead Texas to a 5-0 win over the Angels. The slugging outfielder has now also knocked in 106 runs on the campaign.
Andy Ibáñez collected a hit in four at-bats, knocked in a run and scored a run in Detroit’s 8-0 blanking of the Royals. The utilityman from the Isle of Youth has now driven in a career high 37 runs on the season. Ibáñez also has 34 extra-base hits on this year.

Aledmys Díaz doubled in two trips to the plate and drove in a run, but Oakland still fell to the Twins 6-4. The native of Villa Clara, Cuba is now hitting .229 on the season. Díaz has posted a career low OPS of .652 with 4 games left in the campaign.
Yordan Álvarez and José Abreu combined for three hits, two RBI’s and three runs scored to do their part in Houston’s 8-3 win over Seattle in a game with Wildcard implications. Álvarez hit his 31st bomb of the season, while Abreu has now driven in 85 runs of the campaign and Houston leads Seattle by 1.5 games for the last playoff spot in the American League.
