Adolis García collected two hits and knocked in a run in five trips to the plate in Texas’ 11-8 win over the Orioles in their ALDS series. The Rangers have now taken a commanding 2-0 lead over the Orioles headed back home to Arlington. García drove in his first run of the playoffs and watch his average jump to .250.
Cionel Pérez and Yennier Cano combined to pitch two innings in relief, gave up a run, fanned two batters and walked a batter in the game. The O’s have their work cut out for the headed on the road with an 0-2 hole. In his first two playoff outings Pérez has been simply dominant exhibiting a blazing 99 MPH fastball.

Yordan Álvarez continues to mash postseason pitching. In yesterday’s 6-2 loss to the Minnesota Twins Álvarez went yard for the third time in two games the Cuban slugger deposited a ball in the seats. The giant from Las Tunas, Cuba has now knocked in five runs during the series so far. In 171 the 26-year-old has now hit nine longballs.
With a series that is now tied at one Minnesota heads back home having accomplished it mission looking to take control and pave its way to its first ALCS since 2002. The two teams will face off at Target Field tomorrow at 4:07 PM, Sonny Gray and Cristian Javier will do battle to open the contest.
