His earned run average descended to 4.00 on the season. Diosbel Arias swatted a hit in four trips to the plate and also scored a run on the evening.
Ariel Miranda tossed 5 ⅔ innings where only surrendered a run via three hits and struck six to notch his first win in the LIDOM. The lefty from Mayabeque, Cuba watched his ERA fall to 2.79 on the campaign. The Águilas knocked off the Estrellas 8-4.

Yadiel Hernández collected two hits in as many at-bats, drove in two runs and scored on three occasions to support his teammate and countrymen’s cause. The outfielder is now hitting a robust .556 in the Dominican circuit. In a loss for the Estrellas Yasiel Puig smacked a two-run in the bottom of the ninth, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a loss for the team from San Pedro de Macoris.
In México Felix Pérez went yard for the third time on the year, drove in a run and scored a run to account for Jalisco’s only run on the evening in their 3-1 loss to Navojoa. Although the slugger is hitting a paltry .185 on the season he still knocked in eight runs, leaving him fourth in the league in that statistical category.
