Yasiel Puig collected two hits, scored a run and stole a base to do his part in the Estrellas 13-5 thrashing of the Águilas. After a slow start with the lumber the outfielder from Cienfuegos, Cuba is starting to pickup his timing and now has back-to-back games with at least a hit.
César Prieto smacked a two-run single in three trips to the plate for the losing squad. Yadiel Hernández continues two swing a hot lumber, the outfielder swatted two hits and scored a run in four at-bats. Prieto and Hernández hit .231 and .571 respectively.
In México Yasmany Tomás hit two doubles and drove in two runs to command Los Mochis’ 3-0 shutout of the Venados de Mazatlán. The slugger from the Cuban capital has now driven three runs and hits .289 on the season.
In Venezuela Raynel Delgado hit his first homerun of the winter, knocked in a run and scored twice in Magallanes 7-6 loss to arch-rival Caracas. The native of Havana is hitting .273 in his brief time with Venezuelan ball club.
