Yadiel Hernández collected two hits in four trips to the plate and knocked in three runs to command the Águilas Cibaeñas 4-2 victory over the Gigantes del Cibao. The outfielder from Matanzas, Cuba is now second in the LIDOM with a robust .336 average.
Although Mazatlán defeated Culiacán 7-5 in the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico, Peter O’Brien still managed to drive in a run to help the Tomateros cause. The Cuban-American slugger has now driven in 28 runs on the season leaving him fifth in the league in that statistical category.
In the LBPRC Cuban-Americans Adrián Del Castillo and Albert Almora combined for four hits, two runs batted in and two runs scored to pace Santurce in their 7-3 win over RA12. Almora and Del Castillo hit .228 and .204 respectively on the season.
