Yadir Drake deposited his first ball of the postseason in stands in the eighth inning, drove in a run and scored twice to do his part in Guasave’s 8-5 victory over Mexicali. Yoelquis Guibert also helped the cause with two hits and scored two runs. Guibert has been a sparkplug for the Algodoneros in the playoffs hitting .429.
Guasave now leads the series 3-2 and is a game away from advancing to the next round of the postseason. Drake in his own right is hitting a solid .263 in the postseason. The slugger from Matanzas, Cuba is the leader of a team that looking to win their first title since 1972.
