Pedro Echemendia was masterful after tossing five innings of one-hit, no-run ball and retired five via the strikeout to pace Ponce in the 8-1 win over Carolina. The series between both ballclubs is tied at three with Game 7 taking place tomorrow.

Echemendia one his second game of the postseason saw his ERA descend to 0.84. JC Escarra also helped the cause with an eighth inning double to put an exclamation point on the feline’s win. The All-Star catcher is hitting .259 in the playoffs.

Ponce has roared back in the series from a 3-1 deficit and has the chance to put the stamp on a monumental comeback and reach its first final in the LBPRC since its revival in the league in 2022 after 10 years of inactivity.
