This Friday the FEPCUBE confirmed through its social networks that it will play a tuneup game for the Intercontinental Series. The exhibition game against the Miami- Dade College baseball team will be next Wednesday, January 17, with start time at 05:30 PM, at the Demie Mainieri Field stadium.
On Monday FEPCUBE manager Brayan Peña will reveal his depth chart with his roster for the Cuban -American squad and we will probably get a better picture of who will be playing where against the Sharks. In figures to be a packed house in Northwest Dade County we will finally see our first glimpse of the team’s uniform.

On Wednesday Peña had this to say on how the team is rounding into playing shape,”We are feeling pretty good about ourselves. Obviously I see a lot of talent out there and it is moving around very well. We played guys at different positions and they displayed their talents. I think we definitely had our best day of practice, our guys are getting in game shape and continuing to improve their game.”
The Intercontinental Series will be played from January 25 to February 1 in Barranquilla, Colombia. Six teams will be present in the Series, representing the leagues of Colombia, Curacao, South Korea, Japan and the United States, in addition to the participation of the historic “free Cuban” team fielded by FEPCUBE.
A round-robin format will be played in the first round of the tournament, with the best four teams advancing to the semifinals. The winners of the semifinals will play each other in the final to define the champion. In historic tournament for Miami’s exile community the FEPCUBE is looking to make a memorable debut in the international arena.
