Although Jorge Martínez threw four scoreless innings in relief where he fanned three and only gave up two hits the Estrellas Orientales fell to the Tigres del Licey 3-1, tying there LIDOM championship series at two.

The right-hander from Matanzas, Cuba has been a jack of all trades for the team for San Pedro de Macoris and possibly the teams most valuable pitcher in the postseason. For the the felines Yadiel Hernández went hitless but managed to knock a run.

In other news the Criollos de Caguas announced their roster for the Serie del Caribe and it included two Cuban-Americans. Catcher JC Escarra who was an All-Star and on the All-League team will team up with hard-throwing reliever Bryan García to help the Puerto Rican squad in their quest for a fifth Serie del Caribe title.
