Fepcube Showcase: Roster and Teams Attending Announced

On Friday, February 9th at 10 AM, a baseball showcase will be held at Miami Dade College North Campus, organized by the Cuban Professional Baseball Federation (Fepcube), Gladys Alonso, the first female Cuban-American certified MLB agent and her agency A&F Sports.

Fepcube held their team training at Miami Dade College North Campus in January, and hosted Fepcube’s inaugural game against the Miami Dade College Sharks.

Eight players have been announced to participate in the showcase, all participated in Fepcube trainings and games. The roster includes: catcher/first baseman Harol Vazquez, infielder Eddy Diaz, right-handed pitcher Elih Villanueva, outfielders Andy Martin and Marco Romero, catchers Luis Suarez and Andy Valdes, and catcher/outfielder/pitcher Luis Touron Jr.

The players bring a range of experience from college, professional leagues in Latin/South America and Asia, Independent Leagues and MLB organizations.

Five MLB teams have confirmed their attendance for the showcase, announced by Fepcube. The attending MLB teams are the Tampa Bay Rays, Philadelphia Phillies, Miami Marlins, San Diego Padres, and Detroit Tigers. Additionally, teams from the Mexican league will also be present at the event.
