José Iglesias knocks in a run in New York’s win. (+Spring Training Report)

José Iglesias collected two hits, one of them being an RBI second inning single to do his part in New York’s 3-1 win over the Marlins. The infielder is hitting .316 and making a strong case for a roster spot for the Mets.

Franco Alemán struck out the side to Cleveland’s 2-1 victory over the White Sox. The Cuban right-hander notched his first save and has yet to allow a run this spring. The University of Florida product could be vying for a roster spot in the team’s bullpen.

Yennier Cano made his second appearance of the spring and once again was unhittable. The flamethrower from Ciego de Ávila, Cuba tossed a scoreless inning in which he fanned two of the three batters he faced to notch a hold in Baltimore’s 4-3 win versus the Tigers.
